I believe that there are strengths and weaknesses in all of us. In any challenging situation the first step to making things better is to find a supportive non-judgmental counselor to help us better understand the issues and develop a strategy for dealing with them. Drawing on my professional training and a wealth of personal experience, I promise clients a compassionate perspective and a safe environment in which to explore and navigate any problems.
I have worked in a number of different settings including as a teacher, carer and counselor, and have lived in a variety of different countries all of which have helped me to develop a broad perspective in which to frame my client’s issues. I consider myself worldly wise but forever curious and have a strong commitment to helping others.
As a UK licensed psychotherapist, I specialise in helping clients to work through problems associated with anxiety, stress, grief, compulsion and trauma in a supportive partnership using a range of techniques including cognitive behavioural therapy, hypnotherapy , relaxation training, mindfulness and humour.
I have a family with three grown up children and a menagerie of animals and remain passionate about people and travel.
