I am a licensed psychologist with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with concentration in clinical and developmental psychology from George Mason University in the United States of America. I am passionate about working with young individuals facing a spectrum of challenges, including but not limited to bullying, trauma, depression, anxiety, self-image and eating disorders, mood management, and relationship/family issues. In addition to addressing psychological challenges, I also specialize in assisting children and teenagers who are grappling with academic difficulties. I offer support in areas such as attention, planning, stress management, and career counselling by providing personalized strategies to help them navigate their educational journey more effectively. Throughout the process, I work with parents and provide them with ways to support their child at home.

There has been a misconception that mental health issues are exclusively an adult concern. However, it’s crucial to recognize that children and teenagers also experience mental health challenges. One of the primary reasons children often go undiagnosed with mental health issues is their inability to effectively express their emotions and inner struggles. With my expertise, I assist children in uncovering their true selves by facilitating self-awareness. Through various techniques and specialized interventions such as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), play therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness, I empower them with essential social skills and tools that enable them to articulate their thoughts and emotions more effectively, fostering healthier expression and communication.

My passion stems from my personal experiences, having interacted with individuals across various spectrums. I chose this field with a specific aim: to make a positive impact, particularly within our community, where mental health challenges have historically been stigmatized. I aspire to break down barriers and foster understanding, contributing to a more inclusive and supportive environment for children and teens facing such issues.
