Therapy doesn’t have to feel cold, clinical, and like you’re talking to a robot who nods passively. I’m an empathetic, strength-based, client-centered therapist on a mission to help you master your mental health. I use my personal and professional experience and knowledge to help you go from stuck to unstuck.
My overall goal is to make things easy and accessible. I want to break things down in an easy to understand way that leaves you feeling like you have a clear idea of where to go and what to try next. My approach consists of validation, psycho-education, and expanding your comfort zone by gently challenging you. I will support you in pushing your limits, while also teaching you to respect those limits by finding a balance between rest and challenge. I work with YOU as the expert on your own life. We’ll work together to apply new coping strategies, explore different perspectives, and focus on the strengths you bring into the therapy room.
Because there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy, I use a mix of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), mindfulness, Gestalt therapy, psychodynamic therapy and attachment theory. I work with those experiencing depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, bipolar disorder, anger, trauma, panic disorder/panic attacks, eating disorders, relationship issues and general life stressors.
We are all worthy and deserving of a fulfilling life. In my work as a psychologist, I want to empower you to believe this simple truth and trust that you are capable of creating true and lasting change.
