I am a UK accredited practitioner with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UCL in London. My special interest is working with children and teens through the challenges they may experience during their school life such as managing friendships, developing a positive self image and dealing with performance anxiety. I also work with teens to guide them through big transitions in their life such as moving through high school and preparing them for university. These can both be big jumps for students and it’s natural to feel as though it’s very overwhelming for both the child and their family.
My goal is to create a safe and open space for children and teens to freely share their thoughts and feelings while simultaneously building a strong foundation for their learning. It is also important for me to work together with parents to ensure they are supporting their child at home and helping to build their child’s confidence regarding how they deal with their emotions and concerns inside and outside of our sessions.
I use a wide range of approaches including educational coaching and mentoring, cognitive behavioural therapy, academic & career counselling, play therapy and parent coaching while ensuring that the method used is tailored to each client. Ultimately, I hope to provide your child with the necessary tools to progress in their academic and personal lives as well as ensure they are confident using these tools independently in the future.

Testimonials
“Aleena was a great mentor to me when I was settling into university – always empathetic, kind, and fun. She has gone above and beyond to support me with helpful advice related to academics and my overall wellbeing, and always listens readily to any concerns I might have. She creates such a positive atmosphere whenever I meet her and has always made me feel safe, welcomed, and cared for.”
“Aleena is really kind, and she always helps me a lot. When I was in year one at my university, she was my transition mentor. At that time, all the things that came to me were new and somewhat overwhelming. She brought her experience to me, telling me how to make efficient notes during the lectures, how to write a wonderful essay, and encouraging me to join the society to meet new friends. She patiently taught me a lot about writing skills and gave me guidance. This not only eased my nerves but also instilled my love for university life.”
“I appreciate her kindness and her help a lot, and she makes my university life much more colourful!”
