I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist and registered supervisor with over 18 years of experience. My passion and dedication lie in helping individuals, families, and communities improve their mental health and well-being. I specialise in trauma, grief, infidelity, sexuality, chronic or terminal illnesses, bereavement, and anxiety, and I work with many different psychotherapeutic aspects. My approach is collaborative, integrative, and tailored to the unique needs of each client.
In my therapy sessions, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients can enhance their self-understanding, maximise their strengths, and learn to achieve greater satisfaction in their personal and professional lives. When behaviour change is the goal, we work together to reframe concerns and implement different responses. For life-altering events, such as illness and loss, the emphasis is on understanding reactions, adjusting over time, and moving forward with life.
I am recognised as one of the two first licensed Bahraini psychotherapist and have completed over 25,000 supervised clinical hours. I am the co-founder and pioneer of the first mental health clinic in Bahrain, Insights Therapy Centre, which takes on a holistic approach to working with clients. As a registered supervisor, I supervise over 60 therapists around the world and have taught courses internationally. I am also a founding member of several charities and NGOs, including Dreams Society, Shamsaha, and Bahrain Entrepreneurship Organization, and a board member of the Child Protection Center.
My certifications are in trauma therapy, sex therapy, EMDR, CBT, clinical hypnotherapy, Thanatology, Somatic Experiencing, DBT, Ego State Therapist, IFS, and Satir Family Therapy demonstrate my extensive experience and expertise in the field of mental health. Through my work as a therapist, supervisor, and international speaker and training instructor, I have helped countless individuals overcome mental health challenges and lead happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.
